The inspirED Approach

inspirED was born out of a partnership between Facebook and the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence with the goal of bringing social and emotional learning (SEL) and greater wellbeing to high school students across the nation. The inspirED site provides SEL resources, tools and a 5-step process to empower students and educators to work together to create positive change in their schools and themselves.

School Climate Assessment

The climate of a school, or how it “feels” to everyone in it, is one of the most important influences on learning, academic achievement, and positive youth development. It also impacts how adults in the school feel about their jobs and how they teach and interact with students. Measuring your school climate is an important part of the inspirED 5-step process and the results will help you and your team design meaningful data-driven interventions that can create better outcomes for young people and greater wellbeing for your school community. Learn more about school climate, available assessment tools and how this work can lead to greater school quality, teacher satisfaction and student success.
